A new ferry for Sweden will be the world’s most powerful to run on liquefied natural gas, says the Danish naval architect firm OSK-ShipTech. Further, notes LNG dual fuel engine and fuel system and tank supplier Wärtsilä, the ship will be the first Swedish-flagged LNG powered passenger vessel and the first LNG-fueled high-speed ropax (passenger roll-on) ferry in the world.
