Engie LNG for Antwerp for 30 Years

The Antwerp Port Authority said today that it’s granted a concession for Engie LNG Solutions – formerly GDF Suez – to operate a liquefied natural gas bunkering station for barges. “The concession starts on 1 October this year and runs for a period of 30 years,” the Port says.

December’s LNG Fill Was the First for Another Dutch Port

GDF Suez LNG Solutions has reported the first liquefied natural gas bunkering of a vessel in Moerdijk, a port south of Rotterdam in The Netherlands. The Danser Group’s Eiger Nordwand powered container barge was filled there, via truck, in December 19.

Purging and Loading of LNG Carrier Shows It Can Be Done

Anthony Veder’s multi-purpose gaseous products carrier Coral Methane was loaded with liquefied natural gas from GDF Suez LNG Solutions trucks at the Hoppe Maritome/Euroservices Terminal at Zeebrugge, Belgium late last month – proving that LNG bunker vessels can be similarly loaded.
