Pact Allows Siemens Unit to Manufacture the Power Oxidizer

Ener-Core, Inc. has taken its relationship with Dresser-Rand to a new level, signing a licensing agreement allowing Dresser-Rand (which is a unit of Siemens Power and Gas) to manufacture Ener-Core’s Power Oxidizers. Power Oxidizer technology allows up to 4 megawatts of electricity to be produced on-site using waste and low-quality gases, “from a wide variety of industries,” as fuel.

$2.1 Million Dresser-Rand Purchase Order Is First Commercial Order:
Two ‘Power Oxidizer’ Units to Be Integrated with KG2-3G Gas Turbine

Irvine, Calif.-based Ener-Core is commercializing its oxidation technology for putting waste gases to work as part of a megawatt-scale generator with partner Dresser-Rand. Ener-Core’s Power Oxidizer has met all of the customer’s Sub Scale Acceptance Test (SSAT) criteria, and Dresser-Rand has placed a $2.1 million purchase order for two Ener-Core units.
