Cummins Engines Are EPA Tier 4F-Compliant at Pittsburgh Airport

Consol Energy and Halliburton are claiming delivery of the first complete hydraulic fracturing spread powered by U.S. EPA Tier 4F-compliant engines – diesel-fueled Cummins QSK50s. The multi-pad installation is at PIT, Pennsylvania’s Pittsburgh International Airport.

Consol Energy is testing diesel-liquefied natural gas dual fuel power for two drilling rigs in southwest Pennsylvania, with Linde supplying LNG for American Power Group-modified Caterpillar engines.
