CalMac Picks Wärtsilä for Two LNG Ferries

Ferguson Marine for the First LNG Vessels to Be Built in the UK

Scotland’s Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd has tapped Wärtsilä to supply the liquefied natural gas-diesel dual fuel engines and LNGPac fuel systems for two new 336-foot (102.4-meter) ferries. Slated for delivery in summer 2018, they are “the first ever dual-fuel ships to be built in the UK,” Wärtsilä notes.

Caledonian MacBrayne Parent Names Ferguson for Dual Fuel Vessels

Scotland’s Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited has named Ferguson Marine Engineering as the likely builder of two new liquefied natural gas dual fuel ferries for Caledonian MacBrayne’s Clyde and Hebrides service.
