Half Have Been Secured in the Past Two Years
The UK’s Bestobell Marine says it’s received the 200th order for its cryogenic valves, which are used on liquefied natural gas carriers and LNG-fueled ships.
Half of the orders have been secured in the last two years, the company says.
Bestobell credits its expansion into the LNG fuel gas systems business, an area where it counts 37 orders.
On Both Standout U.S. LNG Vessels
“We are now supplying cryogenic valves for LNG carriers, LNG fuel gas systems, re-liquefaction equipment and re-gasification equipment on a global basis,” Bestobell Marine sales director Duncan Gaskin said in a release.
Bestobell valves are on Harvey Gulf International Marine’s Harvey Energy, the first U.S.-flag ship built to run on LNG and now in service with Shell in the Gulf of Mexico, and on the Isla Bella container ship for TOTE/Sea Star, which was launched by GS Nassco in San Diego just this past Saturday (HHP Insight, April 18).Contact information is only available to premium subscribers.
