Ship Is Back in Action for Statoil with Rolls-Royce Engines

Contract with Rolls for Dedicated-LNG Norway Tanker Conversion
And with Crowley Maritime for Two New Vessels for the Caribbean

Germany’s TGE Marine has disclosed contracts to supply liquefied natural gas fuel tanks and systems for three ships: a chemical tanker being converted to all-LNG operation in Norway, and the two new dual-fuel combination container – roll-on/roll-off ships being built for Crowley Maritime for the Caribbean.

Rolls-Royce for Bergen Tankers

Conversion of 2007-Built Bergen Viking Planned for Summer 2014

Bergen Tankers has selected Rolls-Royce to convert its Bergen Viking merchant ship to run on engines powered by natural gas, replacing the current diesel engines, Rolls-Royce said at the Nor-Shipping convention in Oslo this week.
