Meyer Turku for New LNG Ferry for Tallink

New $285 Million Vessel for Delivery in Early 2017

Finland’s Tallink Grupp and Meyer Turku have publicized a letter of intent for the latter to build a liquefied natural gas-fueled car-and-passenger ferry for the Tallinn-Helsinki route. The ship will cost around 230 million euros, states a release – some $285 million U.S. at current rates – and will be built in Turku for delivery in the beginning of 2017.
