Tallink LNG Ferry to Be Named Megastar

Keel of the 696-Foot Dual Fuel Vessel to Be Laid February 9

Estonia-based Tallink Group said Friday that its new liquefied natural gas-fueled fast ferry, intended to connect Tallinn and Helsinki from early next year, will be named Megastar. The keel of the 212-meter (695.5-foot), 230 million euros ($248 million) vessel is to be laid at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland on February 9.

Two 300-Cubic-Meter Type C Horizontal Tanks for High-Speed Ferry

Linde and its Swedish engineering subsidiary Cryo AB report a contract from Finland’s Meyer Turku Shipyard to build a liquefied natural gas fuel gas system for the next-generation high-speed ferry, for Tallink in Estonia.
