Patented ‘Clean Fleet’ Uses Field Gas to Power Machinery,
‘Operational Cost Savings of Upwards Of $40,000 Per Day’

U.S. Well Services has taken the wraps off of its patented “Clean Fleet” package for power frack spreads. Clean Fleet allows the use of natural gas, including field gas, to power heavy machinery. It’s been put to work by Antero Resources in the Marcellus Shale in West Virginia.

Patterson-UTI Using 7044s for Antero in West Virginia

Antero Resources and Patterson-UTI Drilling are using a trio of field gas-fueled GE-Waukesha VHP L7044GSI engines on a drill rig in Harrison County, W.Va., “and plans are in the works to replace diesel engines powering drilling rigs in multiple other locations.”
