Moving Forward in Washington State, Tackling Virginia Too

Boston-based Xpress Natural Gas, which provides compressed natural gas to industrial customers in New England and New York State – delivering the fuel via tube trailers towed by CNG-powered tractors – is moving ahead with its expansion to Washington State and is setting up a similar network based in Appomattox, Va.

The firm reported this past summer that its CNG facility in Manheim, N.Y. (between Schenectady and Syracuse) was fully operational (HHP Insight, July 10).

Last week, XNG says, it secured approval from the Port of Grays Harbor and signed a lease for a $3 million CNG facility at the Satsop Business Park in Elma, Wash., southwest of Seattle. Port Townsend Paper is a client, according to a report cited by XNG.

Also according to a report cited by the company, XNG is planning a $7.8 million CNG facility at the Appomattox Center for Business and Commerce near Lynchburg, Va.
